Vaastu Shastra is a practical science as it is rational and is based on scientific study and not on assumptions. It is said to be a bridge between man and nature is based on the infinite powers of the five elements - fire, water, earth, and air and space.. The five Elements or the Paanchbhootas which are embedded in almost all materials in the world are used by Vaastu Shastra to eradicate the problems of occupants that might arise in a dwelling either home or office by changes or alteration in exterior and interior structural configurations. Panchamahabhootas are Jal (water), Vayu (air), Prithvi (Earth), Agni (Fire) and Aakash(Space) which teach us to be harmonious & peaceful.
Vastu Shastra is a science derived from Vedas. Vastu will helps to achieve material prosperity, mental peace and happiness and harmony in home and work place. It suggests ways in which you can live in agreement with the laws of nature, so that you remain healthy, be peaceful and work efficiently.Vastu harnesses the various energies present around us in a particular pattern so that they blend harmoniously with the persons living in the building. Vaastu Shastra extends from choosing a plot of land to the planning and execution of design, to the construction of the building or structure and finally to the moving of the occupants or Grihapravesh to the new house. Our body also denotes vastu . The seven energy chakras in our body are linked with the Panchmahabhootas and any imbalance reflects on our physical, mental and emotional health.In a nutshell, Vastu Shastra is the scientific study of directions, which aims at creating equilibrium by balancing the different elements of nature and using them for the benefit of humans.
